Madrid-Barcelona train
Hey I am coming to Madrid in September and want to go to Barcelona afer this. I prefer going there by train. I read about the AVD train but this one is quite expensive. I also read that there are sometimes cheaper tickets for the AVD (around 50€). Do you know how to get a cheap ticket or do you know another cheap possibility to go to Barcelona? Do you think it´s possible to do hitchhiking? xx

The Piece of a Shuttle

There is a piece of what was before a glorious Russian shuttle "Buran", staying in front of one of the Moscow hospitals. It hasn't been placed there as a monument or something. People who know its history tell that once when the Soviet Union collapsed they sold much of high-technology costly hardware for just some pennies to people who didn't even know what to do with all this.
No Casinos

June 30st, 2009 was the last day allowed for casinos and slot machines to operate in Russian cities.
6 Russian People Who Changed the USA
1) Sergey Brin – Google
Sergey Brin, who was born August 21, 1973, in Moscow, became a co-founder of Google, Inc., the world’s largest Internet company, providing users with a technology of search and a number of other important features in on-line world. In 2009 he was ranked as the 26th richest person in the world by Forbes. He immigrated to the United States in his childhood, when he was just 6, and when Sergey grew up, he began to study mathematics, following in his father's and grandfather's footsteps. First, Brin got a diploma of the University of Maryland, and then he became Ph.D in computer science at Stanford.
Solid Metal Animal Corkscrews

Those Russian guys from Moscow make creative corkscrews and beer bottle openers from the small metal parts, pieces of spoons and other stuff.
Firefox 3.5

Happy 3rd of July!
We think this visualization of UX diagram creates more questions than it answers…which makes it interesting.
Yea! Whitney Hess has captured the best and brightest of resources in her post So you want to be a UX designer.
Delicious Library
Delicious Library 2.1 is out, along with a free iPhone companion in the App Store. My thanks to Delicious Monster for sponsoring this week’s DF RSS feed to promote it. The iPhone app syncs with the Mac version and lets you view everything in your library, with the same intricate attention to UI design and experience that has made Delicious Monster famous. It’s good.
If you need further convincing, check out the adorable guided tour video they made to promote the iPhone app’s release last month. Hand-crafted stop-motion animation. If this video doesn’t make you smile, you’re not hooked up right. Imagine how much work went into the app if they put this much work into the video.
Graphical History of the American Flag
A great infographic for America's Independence Day from Mike Wirth. The graphical history of the American Flag shows a circular timeline of when changes were made over the years and when stars were added. I love additional information Mike included like the official folding pattern and the state each star represents by showing them chronologically. Makes a great poster!
More Service Design Reading
Over at her Design Generalist blog Qin Han asks what service designers are reading. Several people have chimed in with suggestions that were new to me or that I hadn’t previously connected with service design. If you have a moment head over and contribute a book or journal article to the list.

‘Edge’ Is Back in the U.S. and U.K. App Stores
Remember Edge, the iPhone game that was forced out of the U.S. and U.K. App Stores after some jackass claimed a copyright on the word “Edge”? Well, Edge is back. I bought it last night and I highly recommend it, as does my five-year-old son. Very fun.
